Physical Therapist

Joshua is a dedicated Physical Therapist at Purymax Exercise Therapy Centre, passionate about restoring mobility, enhancing performance, and promoting holistic wellness. He combines evidence-based practice with a patient-centered approach to deliver outstanding care to clients of all ages and conditions. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Sports Science from Masinde Muliro University, graduating with Second Class Upper Division. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sports Science (2025, ongoing), with a focus on exercise therapy, rehabilitation, and metabolic health. Since joining Purymax in July 2023, Joshua has worked extensively with patients managing musculoskeletal, metabolic, and chronic conditions, providing tailored exercise programs, pain-relief interventions, and long-term rehabilitation support. Joshua’s clinical experience includes attachments at JM Kariuki County Referral Hospital, Masinde Muliro University’s Rehabilitation Clinic, and community health promotion programs in schools. He has also served as a volunteer exercise therapist at the Masinde Muliro University Sports Science Skills Lab and as a team doctor for the university soccer club. Joshua has contributed to research on “The Role of Exercise in the Prevention and Management of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders among Computer Workstation Users”, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in sports science and workplace health.
